A Hearth Kit is required to complete the log set. All gas log sets must be used with appropriately sized hearth kits and they are all sold separately. The exception is the Fireside Grand Oak. The Hearth Kit is included with it. It is not sold separately.

The 18" gas logs for 18" hearth sets are recommended for 36" fireplaces. The 24" gas logs for 24" hearth sets are recommended for 42" fireplaces.

There are three different types of burner lighting options to choose for your gas logs and hearth sets:

Matchlight (natural gas only) requires manual lighting each time you start a fire; the absence of valves or controls allows for use of the largest log set possible (no remote available).
Safety Pilot - Provides a standing pilot ready for lighting (no remote available).
Remote Ready - Safety pilot system operable via an optional wall switch or remote control.
